New Look 6098 Waves Tunic

Aloha Again!

Hope everyone's week is off to a great start.  Thanks so much for all the honest and helpful feedback on the vintage dress.  I am not sure what I am going to do with it yet, but I am leaning toward restyling it into a skirt.  Time will tell.  On to something new!

I was certain, when I originally made New Look 6098, that I would want to make it again.  Last time I didn't use a fabric I was in love with, but this time I did.  I found this rayon knit at Marcy Tilton's website.  I only wish I had ordered enough for a dress.  However, I am thrilled I had enough to make the tunic.  Creating this look was a breeze, because I already had all the fit issues worked out.  You can read about them in the original post by clicking on the New Look 6098 link above if you are interested.  Here is the look.
I finished the neckline the same as the last version:
Creating this top was just what I needed to recover from my last sewing excursion, LOL.  Aloha!
The capris are ready-to-wear.

I absolutely love this fabric it's gorgeous and lovely as a tunic! It's always such a pleasure to make something when all the annoying fit issues are worked out and you can just sew!

Very pretty! I love the colors in this print and the style is great. You can dress it up or down.

By the way, I've noticed that you've cut bangs and I think they are super cute!

Sewing with a fun print always cheers me up too! This top is striking.

You look WONDERFUL with your new haircut. Not that you didn't look lovely before :-) A change is as good as a holiday though!

Your fringe looks great.

I love the swirled pattern on your fabric, it works really well with the shape of your tunic. The whole look is very sporty but still sophisticated.

I have wondered what those stripey knit jerseys would look like sewn up and now I see, very nice. Looks great with the capris.

Very pretty! The swirl around the neck gives it a scarf-like appearance!

Love the bangs, they look great. And this top is pretty awesome--the fabric, the fit, the style, perfect combination! I really like the fabric you used for your previous version (the dress) as well.
Though I usually sew for my kids, you inspire me!
