Don't be a Grinch!

Unless of course it's all in fun!  This evening I worked on the final two pair of long pj pants for DS#2.  He picked out the fabric, both the Christmas print and the mini-dots.  One day, while browsing through Old Navy, I spied this Grinch t-shirt.  It works great with both pairs.  I can't help but smile when I see them on him!

Once again the pants pattern is Kwik Sew 3402 in a size medium.  I always put a little ribbon tab inside the waistband to mark the back.  It really annoys my boys if they can't figure out which is the front and which is the back.  This takes care of the problem.  I finish the waistband by zigzagging the elastic to the top edge, then folding down, and topstitching with my coverstitch machine or a twin needle, which I used this time.

Great pj pants and they do go very well with that wonderful Grinch t-shirt! Perfect for this time of the year.

Love the Grinch!
Now why is it that I always forget to add a "marker" to the back of a garment to make it easier to get dressed? Should have put it on that last black cut-on turtleneck that I made. Brilliant idea!

Love the pjs and your idea about marking the centre back. I'll need to mark the centre back in future. Thanks Mushy.

The second I saw the Grinch face of the PJ top, I started singing the Grinch song. Tee Hee. The PJ pants look great.

I love the shirt. How funny!

I always put a thread tail in the back of Gideon's pants. Your solution is a little bit classier. :)

I love the Grinch! And the PJs look great. The ribbon idea is so easy but effective. I made my husband a pair of knit pants and he complained that he couldn't tell which was the front and the back. Complaints, complaints! I'll have to remember your ribbon trick! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!
